The staff were not overly friendly here. Maybe that’s the vibe they’re going for. I tried the pancetta and potato pizza which was delicious. The kale salad was overly expensive but also tasty. Neat that they serve it with scissors for cutting. Tiny cafe so more ideal for small groups. I’d love to try more menu items for sure!

Everything here is so well executed! I had the kale salad which was delicious the crunch in every bite from the crumbled croutons is a perfect! Also got a Mortadella sandwich was very good fresh bread the perfect amount of rich & savoury! My favourite thing I ate was the Tartufo so rich with a little bit of sweet it’s a bit pricey but I enjoyed everything & will be back again!

I had an amazing meal at Va. The Mortadella Sandwich with black truffle ricotta, arugula, and parmigiano really hit the spot – rich, savoury, and perfectly balanced. The Potato & Pancetta Pizza was equally impressive, with crispy potatoes, pancetta, and a hint of lemon that added a nice zing. The combination of rosemary, pecorino, and provolone cheeses made it a standout. Highly recommend Va for anyone craving unique and flavourful dishes!

Have come here a few times now & every single time I am bursting with joy. The sandwiches at Va HIT. DIFFERENT. Loaded with flavour, unique flavour/ingredient combos for the YEG food scene. The folks at Va truly understand authentic Italian food & ingredients. We’ve loved everything we’ve tried & look forward to making our way through the menu! Highly recommend the Mortadella sandwich, Meatball & the Cacio e Pepe breakfast sandwich - all will knock your socks off!!!

Just visited Va Caffe and had such a great experience! Even though there was a bit of a line, I was greeted right away with a warm welcome. The barista was super friendly and attentive — she let me know she had a few drinks ahead of mine but assured me it would be quick, and it was! The interior design is beautiful and thoughtfully done, and the music really matched the cozy vibe. I ordered the breakfast panini, and wow — it was delicious! The omelette was fluffy, and the brioche bun tasted freshly made, likely in-house. My latte was also perfect — the temperature was just right (I can’t stand when coffee burns your tongue!) and the coffee itself had a smooth, mild roast that I really enjoyed. Overall, such a lovely experience. I’ll definitely be back to try the lunch paninis next time!

Food was incredible. I got the eggplant sandwich and they had a pistachio dessert that was unreal. One of my best sandwich experiences in a long time! Service was also great. Another one of our friends found her food a bit salty, and they were awesome in trying to make it right. Would definitely come again soon for lunch!

Seen this place many times on social media, and always wanted to try it. The panini were delicious and I loved the bread that came with it. Friendly staff. There are not that many sitting area, so maybe hard to get a seat when it gets busy. I think they should put some patio seating outside. Otherwise highly Recommended.
